The Core Mentorship program is based on the evident discipleship theme between Apostle Paul and his spiritual son Timothy. In the Book of Acts 16:1-3, Timothy was introduced to Paul as someone with potential for ministry has been a disciple with a good reputation and well-spoken of in the Lystra and Iconium Church. He, however, submitted himself to be discipled by his spiritual mentor Paul.

 

This was demonstrated beginning with his willingness to be circumcised for the sake of the gospel of Christ. The end-product of Timothy’s discipled life was evident when Paul stated in Philippians 2:20, “For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state”; and in 2 Timothy 2:2; “The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also”; even further in 2Timothy 3:10 “But thou has fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,…”.
